Dr. Jackton Midigo

Dr. Jackton Otieno Midigo is a distinguished linguist and educator based in Kenya, currently serving as a lecturer at Gretsa University. He holds a PhD and MA in Linguistics from Rongo University and a First Class Honours Bachelor of Education in English and Literature from Moi University. Dr. Midigo’s research spans multilingualism, translation studies, multimodal communication, language learning, and the documentation and revitalization of African languages. He has published over ten journal articles and authored a book, Reflex English, in addition to presenting his work at multiple international and national conferences, including studies on multimodal pedagogy, digital approaches to language learning, and the sociocultural impact of information disorder on social media. Beyond his research, he contributes actively to the academic community as a journal reviewer, student project supervisor, teaching practice coordinator, and editorial team member.
